Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 4.31% or 9.80 points to trade at 237.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.80% or 2.46 points to end at 67.18 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 2.75% or 5.00 points to 187.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which fell 24.19% or 34.15 points to trade at 107.05 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 6.99% or 12.70 points to end at 169.10 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) was down 4.94% or 11.30 points to 217.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 171 to 120 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.94% or 11.30 to 217.50.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.25% or 1.57 to $68.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.03% or 1.48 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 4.50 to trade at $2,689.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.21% to 11.74, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 10.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 100.37.
