Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Semiconductor, Paper & Pulp and Electronics sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, CX Technology Corp (TW:2415) added 9.97% or 3.15 points to end at 34.75 and Holtek Semiconductor Inc (TW:6202) was up 9.95% or 4.75 points to 52.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Asia Optical Co Inc (TW:3019) declined 9.51% or 12.50 points to end at 119.00 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:1225) was down 7.53% or 11.00 points to 135.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.22 to hit $70.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 6.10 to trade at $2,688.80 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.06% to 31.71, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 100.56.
