After-hours movers: NVIDIA, Costco, Penguin Solutions, Avadel Pharma

After-hours movers:

NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) fell 1.4% after Bloomberg reported that Biden will further curb AI chip exports in a final push before leaving office.

Costco (NASDAQ:COST) rose 1.7% after it reported net sales of $27.52 billion for the retail month of December, the five weeks ended January 5, 2025, an increase of 9.9 percent from $25.03 billion last year.

Penguin Solutions (PENG) rose 7.5% after it beat estimates on the top and bottom line in the first quarter.

Avadel Pharma (AVDL) fell 18% after guidance disappointed investors. It sees 2025 net product revenue in the range of $240 to 260 million, representing a 50% increase at the midpoint of guidance from 2024.

Globus Medical (NYSE: NYSE:GMED) rose 2% after it reported preliminary fourth quarter sales there were above consensus.
