Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA), which rose 3.89% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 3.63% or 0.14 points to end at 4.00 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was up 3.33% or 0.40 points to 12.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which fell 0.85% or 0.01 points to trade at 1.17 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) declined 0.77% or 0.02 points to end at 1.93 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was down 0.70% or 0.02 points to 2.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) rose to all time highs; rising 3.33% or 0.40 to 12.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 26.10 to $2,606.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.78% or 1.23 to hit $70.20 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.63% or 1.17 to trade at $73.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 100.97.
