Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.56%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.56%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 2.03% or 0.68 points to trade at 34.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) added 1.80% or 0.06 points to end at 3.40 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 1.31% or 0.04 points to 2.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr), which fell 2.17% or 0.48 points to trade at 21.64 at the close. Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) declined 2.12% or 0.24 points to end at 11.10 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 2.11% or 0.08 points to 3.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 36 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.03% or 0.68 to 34.10.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.60 to $2,537.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.26% or 2.24 to hit $66.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.94% or 2.11 to trade at $69.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.70.
