Grenada has benefited greatly from ties with China, prime minister says

BEIJING (Reuters) – Grenada has benefited greatly from its relations with China and looks forward to strengthening its cooperation with the Asian country, Chinese state media quoted its prime minister as saying on Monday.

Dickon Mitchell made the remarks when he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, adding that Grenada firmly adheres to the One-China principle and that China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected, Xinhua reported.

Xi said during that meeting that China is willing to continue providing assistance within its capacity for the economic and social development of Caribbean countries.
