Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Tourism and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA), which rose 3.98% or 0.46 points to trade at 12.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS) added 2.76% or 1.40 points to end at 52.10 and Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) was up 2.63% or 0.80 points to 31.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which fell 6.86% or 3.10 points to trade at 42.10 at the close. Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) declined 5.72% or 2.62 points to end at 43.20 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was down 5.02% or 2.95 points to 55.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 445 to 122 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.89% or 50.06 to $2,603.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.94% or 0.66 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.13 to trade at $73.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 35.10, while EUR/TRY rose 0.60% to 36.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 107.87.
